Sathewada was a guesthouse in Shirdi that provides shelter to visiting devotees. In those days people used to seek shelter in it. This was very old. This was no ordinary structure. It was a gift of thanks donated by a childless devotee who offered it to Baba with devotion for fulfilling his desire.

Hari Vinayaka Sathe had no children. Baba advised him to marry again and that he would get children. With his strong faith on Baba?s words

Sathe married again. He had two female children from his wife. Sathe felt unhappy and disappointed. But Baba?s words will never go false. Will they?

On the third occasion he was blessed with a male child. The happiness of Sathe knows no bounds. As a token of his gratitude he brought the land before Gurusthanam (neem tree) set it right and constructed a guesthouse called Sathewada. It was very convenient to devotees who would come to Shirdi in those days. Moreover, devotees who stayed there owned several spiritual experiences.
